Kassie is a commercial and editorial photographer, whose work has appeared in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Life & Thyme, Dwell, Edible and many other publications. Born in the Napa Valley, she grew up with both a love of good food and wine, and a profound appreciation for the farmers, chefs, resturateurs and vintners who make that wonderful community what it is.
With a focus on culinary, lifestyle, and travel photography, Kassie brings her own unique aesthetic to each project. Her approach is that of a discreet documentarian—honing in on a lovely moment, a quiet space or an stunning patch of light—to capture those beautiful, idiosyncratic moments of life as they unfold and are revealed to us, naturally.
Since starting her business while living in Germany, Kassie currently calls San Francisco home, although she continues to travel and photograph all over the world. Recent projects took her to a wintery English countryside, the heart of Berlin and the tiny country of Liechtenstein.
With previous stints working at The Culinary Institute of America and Ketchum Food B2B, Kassie brings a deep knowledge of the food industry and well-rounded experience in marketing, branding, recipe development and visual identity to all her photography projects.
It’s no surprise that when not behind the camera Kassie loves to cook, preferably hunched over a ball of dough and kneading happily. She’s also a voracious reader and sometimes writer, loves to wind down gardening, knitting and preserving, proficient in German, and recently took up pottery with gusto.
